Locke Protective Services is a Texas Corporation located in Houston, Texas and was formed in 1994 to fill a quality niche in the security services industry. For many years, Houston was served by two or three local security contractors who were oriented toward quality service for customers as well as security officers on post. During the past several years, these companies have been purchased by large national companies and in turn, have decreased their management staffs as well as other service components in order to reduce overall operating costs.
The effect has been a loss of service quality and individual account planning resulting in dissatisfied property managers, tenants and security personnel.
Local operating costs have been cut not only by reducing the number of staff members available to external customers, but in ways which directly affect service to the clients as well…by cutting service to officers—reduced benefits and training as well as the time and attention offered to their personal goals and job satisfaction.
In order to justify the expense of corporate overhead and other shared expenses, these cuts have escalated, thus effecting the previous high standards and leaving consumers frustrated because they are no longer receiving the attention to detail and service that was once provided.
Before Locke was founded, managers had few, if any, alternatives. The common feeling has been that all security contractors are the same…therefore there is no need to attempt a change, unless for price.
Hourly pay and billing rates have continually decreased, which has created less profit margin with which to pay for previously existing management staffs utilized in supervising clients’ security staff members.
Locke Protective Services, Inc. was established to fill the need for a better security organization, one that pays more attention to its clients as well as its employees in all phases of business operation.
Our objective is to provide customers and security personnel with better treatment than they are accustomed to receiving.
